About Me

Hi there! My name is Darcie and I am a Board Certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist licensed in the State of Iowa.

That means I went to school for four years to learn Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. My training included over 900 hours of clinical practice in addition to classroom instruction.

I’m a Quad Cities native, graduating from Rockridge High School. I attended Illinois State University, then lived in Chicago for 15 years. While there, I graduated from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago/Evanston with a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine combined with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition.

During my clinical experience in Chicago, I assessed and treated a wide variety of ailments including back pain, hip pain, neck pain, knee pain, arm/shoulder pain, wrist and hand pain, as well as migraines, insomnia, stress, fatigue, PMS, menopause, digestive issues, asthma, and the common cold. My modalities include acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, electro-stimulation, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, herbal medicine and nutritional counseling.

When I’m not treating patients, I’m taking care of my 7-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son. I also enjoy cooking, traveling, spending time outdoors, gardening, and playing with our golden retriever, Parker.
